The TGR Learning Lab is excited to welcome students back for another season of free, hands-on learning.
Fall programming gives young people opportunities to create, experiment, solve real-world problems and explore who they might become in a supportive environment designed to make learning exciting.
Through expanded learning opportunities outside of school hours, the Learning Lab offers students a safe space to gain academic support, imagine what’s possible, build real-world skills and work toward their dreams.
Bringing Ideas to Life
In Creative Sparks: Exploring Five Art Forms, fifth-grade students will express themselves through painting, clay, photography, collage and printmaking. Each project introduces new artistic techniques while giving students room to develop their own creative voices.
Students who love to build can join Junior LEGO Robotics. Using LEGO Education SPIKE, participants will design, code and solve hands-on engineering challenges while strengthening teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Only a few spaces remain, so families interested in robotics should register soon.
Turning Interests Into Skills
For students in grades 9–12, this fall is a chance to explore interests that could become passions or even future careers.
Aspiring artists, producers and entrepreneurs can join Music Industry Studio: Artist Development Lab to create songs, beats and visuals while learning how to develop an artist brand.
In Advanced Circuitry, students will combine creativity with engineering to build electronic musical instruments, sensors and interactive gadgets. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and willingness to experiment. Space is still available in this hands-on Tuesday course.
High school seniors can take their next step with confidence through Senior Launch: Preparing for the Future. Students will explore college, career and trade pathways and develop personalized plans based on their individual goals.
Students interested in competitive robotics can also join Tiger Robotics Preseason to explore programming, 3D design (CAD), engineering and the business side of robotics. This course has only a few openings remaining.
Workshops With Real-World Impact
The fall calendar also features one-day workshops connecting students with timely topics and career possibilities.
On September 17, Launch Your AI Assistant invites students to create a personalized AI tool while learning about prompt engineering, conversation design and responsible AI use.
Later this fall, students can strengthen their financial knowledge through Grown-ish: One Thing Is Certain, investigate Sports and Entertainment Law with practicing attorneys, explore Careers in Accounting and become Disease Detectives while examining how infectious diseases spread.
Whether a student sees themselves as an artist, engineer, lawyer, healthcare professional or entrepreneur there is a place for them at the Learning Lab to work toward their future career path or discover which one to take.
Doors open at 3 p.m., before classes begin at 4 p.m. Students can use that time for homework help or drop into activities such as Golf Club, Art Club and more.
Fall classes begin Monday, September 14 and run through Thursday, November 12; several exciting opportunities are still open for registration.
