This month, the Smilow Woodland TGR Learning Lab Philadelphia celebrated the achievements of graduating seniors during Senior Recognition Night, an evening dedicated to honoring the hard work, growth and accomplishments of the Class of 2026.

As the first graduating class since the TGR Learning Lab opened its doors, the Class of 2026 holds a special place in the organization’s history.

Their curiosity, determination and enthusiasm for embracing new opportunities have helped shape the culture of the TGR Learning Lab community and set an example for future students.

Earl Woods Scholar Program and college access coordinator Van Nguyen has worked with these students throughout their journey and reflected on their growth and achievements during the ceremony.

“As you move through your next steps, you set an example to all the other Learning Lab members to come after you,” she said during her remarks. “By exploring, learning and chasing your dreams, you show others all that is possible.”

Students, families, friends and staff gathered for a memorable evening filled with celebration and community. Guests enjoyed light bites while participating in a variety of engaging activities, including professional headshots, graduation cap decorations, bingo and more. Attendees were also invited to leave video messages and handwritten notes filled with advice and well wishes for the graduates as they prepare for their next chapter.

The event also featured remarks from graduating seniors Corrine Schultz and Ruth Kuriloff, who reflected on their experiences and the impact the Learning Lab has had on their journeys. Throughout the celebration, students were recognized for their dedication, resilience and commitment to pursuing their goals.

“Thank you to my teachers,” said Schultz. “Your guidance has been invaluable. It has changed me as a person and helped me discover and develop parts of myself that I didn’t know were in me. You have made this the most exciting and transformative year of my high school career.”

The TGR Learning Lab believes every student deserves the opportunity to discover what’s possible. Through hands-on learning experiences, mentorship and college- and career-readiness programming, students build confidence, develop valuable skills and take meaningful steps toward their future goals.

TGR Foundation is proud of the class of 2026 and its members’ accomplishments. As they embark on the next chapter of their college and career journey, the TGR Learning Lab will be there to support them as they drive impact in their schools, communities and future careers.
